I think we've now locked down the errant stragglers, those few books that had trouble (stolen, if you ask me) making it to their destinations. I just made a trip to the post office Monday so I think we're good on that front. I'm sure I'll hear if not.
And we're almost done with art tier rewards, and by "We" I mean me, the last artist. I also sent out this NAMORA requested by Fred Dillon, and to be honest I was so happy with it I kept it on my desk for weeks because it reminded me I still have drawing power. Now I'm doing the Apollo 13 radio-silence nervous wait until I have closure that it reached him. This also reminds me again of the time the recently late, great Ramona Fradon did a cover for a one-shot special I wrote of the sea queen.
I'm now working on Nick Folkman's GORILLA-MAN which I've started over multiple times but now I think I've finally cracked the ape code. Hang on, Nick! After that I owe art to two creators I've worked with a lot, Nick Dragotta and Declan Shalvey. Luckily, as busy artists they're probably so buried under their own art obligations it will buy me some more time. Declan, by the way, is now working with Blighter Drawer DREW MOSS on Dynamite's new THUNDERCATS book, perfect if you want more Moss-rendered cat people in your life. That book is shattering sales records so it should be easy for your local shop to get for you. OH! Almost forgot- Look at this MARY MARVEL that Doc Shaner did for Zack Davisson!
Thanks again to the stellar crew of art gods who contributed their time and brilliance, it really got eyes on our book and got some backers exceptional works.
One last thing for now- there's a few more hours on the campaign for a gorgeous book by my friend Leila Del Duca, collecting all of her SLEEPLESS story. Colored and Edited by Alissa Sallah, also a good friend but that's immaterial because they're both top notch creators who tell great stories. Please, give it a look before the countdown runs out. Maybe she'll make it to a nice even 500 readers!

Well hello! I wasn't expecting to see you this evening, here, in your own inbox. Good dinner? Go anywhere interesting? Did you perhaps retire to your study and read any fine books about talking tigers?
(now we're both spinning around in large club chairs that swivel, and I'm getting a bit of vertigo)
Speaking of, some of you may be ready to do that very thing, with BLIGHTER. But there's a hold up if you have a personalized copy coming- it's ME. I'm still staying close to home for my pet's recovery this week, and I realized I would have been rotting in Thanksgiving travel traffic anyway if I'd gone to the Fulfillment Center. But I've now arranged to do the drive next week and sign those books! Also taking THE INTERMAN copies for those of you who did that add-on (thanks!). And then whoosh, those remaining books will fly out the door before December starts and whatever all happens in that month ramps up.
There may be a few of you still having issues with shipping that Probably Aren't My Fault, and for those you want to resolve them here: https://blighter.backerkit.com/faq#shipping-updates . There was some glitch where retailers didn't get their multiple orders, but that has been quickly resolved and those are on the way too.
So, to be redundant, if you'll having a problem/book tracking says your copy is stuck somewhere, Comments here won't help, the Backerkit link can. But if you do want to leave a comment letting me know a book arrived safely, that would be a very welcome gesture. I hope those of you gathering with family and friends this week have a great time and be safe!

Today has been fun for me, every time I've checked into Bluesky I've seen more pictures of BLIGHTER arriving in backer's homes! Thank you for that, I can never get enough closure. Also sometimes your pets wander by in the background, another big plus.
Speaking of four-legged pals, I have a couple of weeks left of taking my good dog to a treatment he's going through, and then I can drive up to Washington and sign all the to-be-personalized books at the warehouse. So some books have to wait a fortnight to ship. That's right, a few hundred of you have touched the book before me and the rest of the team. Hmph! I hope the ink smells good. But if you ordered only the no-frills, pure content version and your copy hasn't arrived...
Reminder that if you leave a kickstarter comment or send a twitter or KS message, it will be harder to connect you with the correct survey.
Some of you have changed your email address and have not gotten the survey, or other wild things have happened. So please please make sure you've filled out the survey so we can send you your book! Please! ASAP! Thanks!

I'm so glad to hear of digital pdfs of BLIGHTER turning up in so many inboxes right now, if you haven't gotten yours, fill out the BackerKit Survey! And if friends of yours are just now finding out and missed the campaign, please share this limited window order link with them. Also while the orders are open, you can also get the original printing of my graphic novel adventure THE INTERMAN, signed and sketched in, added on-
A fresh pristine copy like I reached back through time, signed and drawn in! When this came out, publishers started asking me to write books. They then forgot I ever drew them, but it still worked out.
I'm not sure how much longer we'll keep that availability open, but probably through Halloween. The physical books will be rolling out through November, I'm planning a trip to the warehouse to sign a lot of them and grab the remaining ones to store at home. And I'm working on some original art for three more tier winners that I'll be posting if anyone's interested in seeing what they were.
Just realized I should mention some other interesting projects before we wrap up soon. One I've read a sneaky preview of that looks incredible is THE ROMAN STARS by Iván Brandon and V. Gagnon:
